Learn Game Object Creation – From Design and Modeling to Animation and Implementation.
The Game Asset Creation Course will guide you through the complete process of creating a 3D object for video games, from the initial concept to the final animation. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, you’ll learn to design game props such as chests, weapons, or scepters, with a focus on their stylization and optimization for game environments. The course includes creating designs based on the principles of visual communication, where you’ll build mood boards, draw orthographic views, and think about integrating the object into a specific game world.
During the modeling phase, you’ll master fundamental techniques, starting with a low-poly approach, adding details, and optimizing and cleaning up the model. Next comes UV mapping, where you’ll prepare the model for texturing—marking seams and arranging textures properly. In the texturing phase, you’ll experiment with hand-painted and procedural techniques to achieve the desired material look.
The course also introduces the basics of rigging, where you’ll set up the object’s skeleton, apply weights, and establish a hierarchy for control. Then you’ll dive into animation, learning to work with keyframes, animation principles, and creating smooth loops. Finally, you’ll prepare a presentation of your work using appropriate environments, lighting, and cameras, or even implement your asset directly into a game engine.
This course is ideal for beginners and intermediate learners who want to step into the world of game development and acquire practical skills for creating visual elements for games. You’ll work primarily in Blender software. Get ready for a creative adventure where you’ll design your own game asset, from the first concept to the final animated product.
